Phillip M. Margolin
He is a great author. Some of you may think as to why you have not heard of him. I cannot answer this question. When I wanted to know something about this author I did a wikipedia search I got a NO RESULTS FOUND. So I went onto his site and this is his letter to all.
Welcome to the website! I hope both new and old fans will enjoy learning more about my books and talking to me about writing, reading, and the world of Phillip Margolin.
I've always thought of myself as a fan more than a writer. Never in a million years did I imagine that I'd ever get my fiction published let alone have all of my books become New York Times bestsellers. It wasn't until I was in my 30's that I published my first short story, and I was 34 when my first novel, Heartstone, was published but I've been an avid reader since elementary school and I have a book with me wherever I go; and one of the most exciting aspects of being a published novelist is that I get to meet other writers whose books I have enjoyed.
This web site gives me the opportunity to communicate with more of my readers. I'm a self-taught writer. I enjoy answering questions on this web site and at book signings because I would have loved to have an opportunity to ask somebody about writing when I was starting out.
I have read two of his books:
The Last Innocent Man: the storyline of the book is that Defense attorney David Nash has made a career out of setting monsters free -- and no one does it better. Now a case has come to "The Ice Man" that could help cleanse Nash of the guilt and doubts that torment him: that rarest of all defendants, an innocent man.
A fellow lawyer has been accused of a heinous crime -- the brutal murder of an undercover vice cop. But the case that is supposed to be Nash's redemption could prove to be his downfall, dragging him into a dark and sinister world where lies and the truth are interchangeable; where the manipulator becomes the manipulated; and where every answer spawns more complex and terrifying questions. And as the shadows close in around him, the final question that remains for David Nash concerns his own fate: life ... or death?
The Associate: A poster boy for the American Dream, former blue collar boy turned high-powered lawyer Daniel Ames is on easy street as an associate at Reed, Briggs, Portland's most prestigious law firm.
Until one man...and one case...changes everything.
When a charismatic lawyer sues the firm's biggest client, a pharmaceutical company, for manufacturing a drug that causes unspeakable birth defects, Daniel believes the case has no merit. But when information implicating company malfeasance surfaces, the intrepid lawyer doggedly scrambles to find the truth--an investigation that leads him into a vortex of greed, corruption, deceit, and murder. Suddenly caught on the wrong side of the law and in the crosshairs of a powerful enemy, Daniel must unmask an evil conspiracy that wants to bury a deadly secret...and Daniel with it.
This is the best crime book I have ever read. He is a good as John Grisham.
